This commanding, 8-foot tall fossil diptych is a masterwork of natural history and aesthetic composition. The stone reveals a captivating array of ancient fish: a Mioplosus labracoides, three Diplomystus dentatus, three Cockerellites liops, and five Knightia eocaena. the rich bronze, natural color of the fossils emerge with striking clarity against the limestone matrix, its soft hue enhancing the sculptural depth of each fossil.

Dating to the Early Eocene, approximately 50 million years ago, these exquisite specimens were uncovered in our private quarry in southwestern Wyoming. The exceptional preservation and balanced arrangement make this piece both a scientific treasure and an arresting work of natural art. This is an extraordinary statement for a grand interior or fine collection.
