Description: A fossil stone diptych quarried from our "Fossil Lake Classic" stone layer. The mural features an 18-1/2" and an 8-1/2" Diplomystus dentatus, a 14" Mioplosus labracoides, two Cockerellites liops measuring 5-1/4" and 5-3/4", and fifteen Knightia eocaena ranging from 5" to 6-1/2". The mural showcases beige-toned, layered limestone. Quarried from our private quarry, part of the Green River Formation of Southwestern Wyoming. The fossils date to the Early Eocene, 50 million years old.

A fossil stone Diptych mural containing a variety of large and small fossil fish. The fossils include a large and small Diplomysuts dentatus, a Mioplosus labracoides, two Cockerellites liops, and fifteen Knightia eocaena. All of the fossils are exceptional in preservation quality. Each panel measures 68" tall x 34" wide for a total width of 68". The stone contains subtle beige colors and a layered texture. The mural is supplied backed in wood with finished beveled edges. We have added a two-part French cleat to the backs for easy hanging. The fossils were unearthed from our private quarry in Southwestern Wyoming, part of the Green River Formation. The fossils date to the Early Eocene, 50 million years old.
The mural ships in a custom-made wood crate, fully insured against loss or damage.
