A fossil mural quarried from the famous 18" layer of the Green River Formation of southwestern Wyoming. The Green River Fossil Company has its own private quarry located in what was the center of a 20-mile subtropical, pre-historic lake. Today, 50 million years later, it is a sagebrush bluff in the dry, high desert of southwestern Wyoming. The fossils date to the Early Eocene (50 million years old). They include a Knightia eocaena and two Cockerellites liops. The mural is supplied framed in a hand-made Wenge wood frame, backed in wood with a cleat for easy hanging.
