This mural was quarried from a rare dark limestone layer unique to the Green River Stone quarry. We call the stone "Steel Blue" lake. It is a hard compact stone layer known for exceptional fossil preservation, dimension, and detail. The mural features an 18", 6", and a 5" Diplomystus dentatus, a 14" Mioplosus labracoides, and a 7" and a 4-3/4" Knightia eocaena. The age of the fossils is 50 million years old. It is supplied framed in a hand-made Wenge wood frame, backed in wood with a French cleat on the back for easy hanging.

Our murals ship in custom made wood crates, fully insured against loss or damage.
