Description: This impressively scaled fossil fish mural features three specimens of Diplomystus dentatus, ranging in size from 9-1/2" to 16-1/2", a 7" Priscacara serrata, and six Knightia eocaena ranging from 4" to 6½" in length. The elegant range of beige hues and the sculptural texture of the natural, fossil-bearing stone provide a striking backdrop for these beautifully preserved fossils. The stone was quarried from the renowned “Fossil Lake” layer in our private quarry in southwestern Wyoming.

This richly textured fossil mural showcases a dynamic assemblage of prehistoric life from the Early Eocene. Three Diplomystus dentatus, one Priscacara serrata, and six Knightia eocaena are dramatically preserved in natural limestone, quarried from our site in southwestern Wyoming. The varied beige tones of the matrix provide a striking contrast to the deep, rich coloration of these exceptionally detailed 50-million-year-old fossil fish, resulting in a commanding and visually captivating presentation.
The mural is finished with a handmade Wenge wood frame and is backed in wood with a built-in French cleat. This mural ships in a custom wood crate, fully insured against loss or damage. It arrives ready for immediate installation.
