This vertical Accent-sized fossil fish mural was quarried from a rare dark limestone layer in our quarry called the "Mosaic Lake II" layer, The fossils are exceptional in preservation quality and detail. They include three Knightia eocaena in sizes between 6" and 6-1/2", an 8" Priscacara serrata, and a 5-1/4" Diplomystus dentatus. This stone Mosaic Lake II is our premier fossil stone. It is unique to our fossil quarry and offers light and dark gray colors, with bold textures. The fossil preservation found in this stone layer tends to be better than in other layers. This is likely due to the hardness of the stone. The mural is supplied framed in a hand-made Wenge wood frame, backed in wood with a two-part French cleat on the back. The age of the fossils is 50 million years old. The stone comes from the Green River Stone quarry in southwestern Wyoming.

This mural ships in a custom-made wood crate, fully insured against loss or damage.
