Description: A large vertical mural quarried from our premier stone, "Mosaic Lake II". This is a rare dark limestone layer known for exceptional fossil preservation, bold texture, and varied color. The fossils include a 20-1/2" Phareodus encaustus, a 21", 19" & 5-1/2" Diplomysuts dentatus, a 10" and 8" Priscacara serrata, and eight Knightia eocaena in sizes between 6" and 6-1/2". This is also among our largest murals to come from this tan and gray stone.

This large vertical mural was quarried from our Mosaic Lake II stone layer. This layer lies at the bottom of the famous 18" layer in the Green River Formation. It is a hard, compact stone known for providing exceptional fossils. It offers a range of tan, brown, and gray colors with bold layers of texture. The fossils include a large Phareodus encaustus, two large and one small Diplomystus dentauts, two Priscacara serrata, and eight Knightia eocaena. The fossils date to the Early Eocene, 50 million years old.
The mural is finished with a handmade Wenge wood frame and is backed in wood with a two-part French cleat. This mural ships in a custom wood crate, fully insured against loss or damage. It arrives ready for immediate installation.
