This vertical Collector-size fossil fish mural was quarried from our "Fossil Lake" stone layer. The stone has bold textures throughout, and warm tans and orange colors. The fossils include a 18-1/2' Diplomystus dentatus, a 14-1/2" Mioplosus labracoides, and 4- Knightia eocaena in sizes between 5" and 7-1/2". The fossils are exceptional in preservation quality. The stone was unearthed from the Green River Stone Quarry, part of the Green River Formation of Southwestern Wyoming. The fossils date to the Early Eocene, 50 million years old. The mural is supplied framed in a hand-made Wenge wood frame, backed in wood with a two-part French cleat attached for easy hanging.
