Mural back with hanging cleat

This fossil mural features an irregularly shaped stone with large and small fossil fish. The fossils date to the Early Eocene, 50 million years old. The composition includes a large and small Diplomystus dentatus, a Knightia eocaena, a Cockerellites liops, and a rare Notogoneus osculus. The fossils are exceptional in fossil preservation and detail. The stone offers bold textures and subtle limestone colors. The mural is backed in wood with finished and beveled edges. We have added a two-part French cleat to the back for easy hanging.

This mural ships in custom-made wood crate, fully insured against loss or damage.
