Description: An irregularly shaped mural that can be displayed both vertically or horizontally. Quarried from a rare dark limestone layer in our quarry "Steel Blue Lake II", known for exceptional fossil preservation, it contains a 16-1/2", 6" & 5" Diplomystus dentatus, and a 6-3/4" and 6" Knightia eocaena. The mural has strong angular shapes, and the stone offers warm shades of tan and brown. The age of the fossils is 50 million years old.

This fossil fish mural can be displayed in both a vertical or horizontal direction. It presents an array of fossil fish that include three Diplomystus dentatus and two Knightia eocaena. The fossils date to the Early Eocene (50 million years old). Quarried from a rare dark limestone that is unique to our quarry. These Eocene-era fossil fish are preserved beautifully in a textured matrix of soft brown and beige tones, on a stone with strong angular features. The mural was discovered in our quarry in southwestern Wyoming, part of the Green River Formation.
The mural is finished with beveled edges and is backed in wood with a built-in French cleat. This mural ships in a custom wood crate, fully insured against loss or damage. It arrives ready for immediate installation.
