The stone has gray and tan colors with unique lighter color markings. From the Early Eocene, 50 million years old.

This fossil mural features a Priscacara serrata, a, Miplosus labracoides, and three Knightia eocaena, arranged in a beautifully balanced composition. Formed during the Early Eocene, these 50-million-year-old fish are embedded in a richly colored limestone matrix. The preservation and detail found in these fossil fish are exceptional. Collected from the renowned “Steel Blue Lake” layer in our private quarry in southwestern Wyoming.
The mural is finished with a handmade Wenge wood frame and backed with wood, featuring a built-in French cleat. This mural ships in a custom wood crate, fully insured against loss or damage. It arrives ready for immediate installation.
