Priscacara serrata
Diplomystus dentatus
example of the reverse side of a framed mural

This richly textured fossil mural showcases a dynamic assemblage of prehistoric life from the Early Eocene. A large Diplomystus dentatus swims in formation with a Priscacara serrata, two Cockerellites liops, and three Knightia eocaena. Each specimen is exquisitely preserved, revealing fine anatomical detail in dramatic contrast to the natural limestone matrix.

Quarried from our private site in southwestern Wyoming, the stone features elegant variations of beige and ochre tones that highlight the dark, richly colored fossils. The result is a commanding and visually captivating composition. It is an enduring window into life 50 million years ago.

The mural is finished with a handmade Wenge wood frame and is backed in wood with a built-in French cleat. This mural ships in a custom wood crate, fully insured against loss or damage. It arrives ready for immediate installation.
