Description: This impresively scaled mural contains both a 19" and 5-1/2" Diplomystus dentatus, a 10-1/2" Mioplosus labracoides, a 10" Priscacara serrata, five Cockerellites liops ranging in size from 4" to 5-1/2", and fifteen Knightia eocaena in sizes between 4-1/2″ and 7″. The stone was quarried from the “Fossil Lake Classic” stone layer in our southwestern Wyoming fossil quarry.

This irregularly shaped fossil mural presents a dynamic array of beautifully preserved, 50 million year old fossil fish. The fossils include two Diplomystus dentatus, a Mioplosus labracoides, a Priscacara serrata, five Cockerellites liops, and fifteen Knightia eocaena. The fossil preservation is exceptional throughout the mural, and the soft colors and sculptural texture add rich dimensionality throughout. This exquisite example of natural history comes from our private stone quarry located in Southwestern Wyoming, part of the Green River Formation.
The mural is finished with beveled edges and is backed in wood with a built-in French cleat. This mural ships in a custom-made wood crate, fully insured against loss or damage. It arrives ready for immediate installation.
