The stone offers a unique balance of beige and iron oxide colors. Quarried from the famous 18" stone layer in our private quarry, part of the Green River Formation of Southwestern Wyoming.

This Collector-sized fossil mural was quarried from our Fossil Lake stone layer. Found in the famous 18" stone layer of the Green River Formation of Southwestern Wyoming, this layer is known for high-quality fossils. The fossils include a 16-1/2" Mioplosus labracoides, a 5" Knightia eocaena, and a 5-1/4" Cockerellites liops. The simple composition of three fossils is well balanced on the beige, iron-oxide stone matrix. The mural is supplied backed in wood with a handmade Wenge wood frame. We have attached a low-profile aluminum French cleat for easy hanging.
