This fossil fish mural showcases a large Diplomystus dentatus, a giant Priscacara serrata, and a Knightia eocaena in a simple composition of fish. The stone is our "Mosaic Lake" stone layer, a rare dark limestone unique to our quarry. It yields some of the best-preserved highest-quality fossils we find. The fossils date to the Early Eocene, 50 million years ago. The fossil-bearing limestone displays a dramatic play of color, adding depth and visual richness to the mural and providing an elegant backdrop for the fine preservation and subtle hues of these ancient fish.

The mural is finished with a handmade Wenge wood frame and is backed in wood with a built-in French cleat. This mural ships in a custom wood crate, fully insured against loss or damage. It arrives ready for immediate installation.
