This Collector-sized fossil fish mural was quarried from our "Fossil Lake Classic" stone layer. The stone offers bands of natural orange color caused by the Iron content of the stone. The fossils include a 17-3/4" and a 5-3/4" Diplomsytus dentatus, and three Knightia eocaena in sizes between 5" and 6-3/4", The age of the fossils is 50 million years old. Note: the mural can be oriented in both vertical and horizontal formats. The fossil stone has been mounted to a wood backing with finished beveled edges. A two-part French cleat has been added to the back for easy hanging. Quarried from the Green River Fossil Company quarry, part of the Green River Formation of southwestern Wyoming.
This mural ships in a custom-made wood crate, fully insured against loss or damage.
