Description: Quarried from our Volcanic Ash stone layer, this mural contains an 11" and 6" Diplomystus dentatus, a 6-3/4" Knightia eocaena, and two Cockerellites liops measuring 5-3/4" and 6". The stone matrix has bold gold tones, caused by natural iron oxide found in the stone layer. The age of the fossils is Early Eocene. The stone was discovered in the Green River Formation of Southwestern Wyoming.
