This mural features a meal that was clearly too big to eat. This is a rare fossil asperation (fish eating a fish). In this case, a small Diplomystus dentatus was undone by a smaller Knightia eocaena on whom it was trying to snack. The preservation quality is exceptional in this story of life and death. The age of the fossil is 50 million years old. The stone is supplied framed in a handmade Wenge wood frame, backed in wood with a hanging cleat on the back.
