Description: Quarried from the upper stone layers in our quarry (F1 deposits). The mural contains a rare 69-1/2" Palm leaf and petiole Palmacites sp. The palm is virtually complete and exceptional in detail and quality. This is one of the finest we have prepared. The palm was found in 2024 and prepared in 2025. Our quarry is part of the Green River Formation of Southwestern Wyoming. The fossil is 50 million years old.

This exquisitely preserved palm frond measures 69-1/2″ in height and is elegantly framed within a matrix of natural, fossil-bearing limestone from our fossil quarry in southwest Wyoming.
The mural is finished with a handmade Wenge wood frame and is backed in wood with a built-in French cleat. This mural ships in a custom wood crate, fully insured against loss or damage. It arrives ready for immediate installation.
