This Galley sized fossil mural contains a giant 50 million-year-old Axestemys byssinus soft-shell turtle. At 52-3/4" head to tail, this giant is among the best preserved and most complete we have ever found. The turtle is displayed in a light-colored and boldly textured limestone matrix that highlights its contrastingly dark fossilization. It is framed in a handmade Wenge wood frame, backed in wood with an Alder wood armature, and a two-part French cleat for secure hanging. 

This mural ships in a custom-built wood crate, fully insured against loss or damage.
